These days families have their choice of vehicles to choose from, more safety features that come standard, and more entertainment features that can be added. Here is a look at the top four vehicles chosen for families.
 
2008 Saturn Outlook– Base Price: $28,960
The 2008 Outlook has lots of storage and comes with a third row seat. The Outlook also has a rollover sensing system which activated the head curtain airbags. This crossover gets about 19 MPG on the highway.
 
2008 Nissan Altima– Base Price: $18,620
The Altima, even though it is a mid size car provides enough room in the front to stretch your legs out and also has enough room in the back to be comfortable. The Altima can seat up to five passengers and has 15.3 cubic feet of cargo space. The Altima also gets about 26 MPG on the highway.
 
2008 Nissan Rogue– Base Price: $19,250
Parents magazine listed their top family cars fir 2008 and on that list was the 2008 Rogue. It was chosen for its easy-to-use control, room for three car seats in the back, side-curtain air bags, all-wheel drive, roomy seats and rear climate control. The Rogue also gets about 22 MPG city and 27 MPG highway.
 
2008 Chevrolet Malibu– Base Price: $19,995
Parents magazine also chose the 2008 Malibu as one of the best in the sedan category. It was chosen because of its large rear-seat pockets, antilock brakes and side-curtain air bags, as well as its strong safety numbers, heated seats, and remote start. The Malibu gets about 22 MPG city and 30 MPG highway.
