GM has big plans for cars and crossover vehicles. Every brand will be getting a small car soon. Eighteen of the nineteen vehicles GM will introduce between now and 2010 will be wither cars or crossovers.
The new Chevrolet Cruze, which is due out in 2010, will replace the Chevrolet Cobalt. The Cruze will have a 1.4-liter turbocharged four cylinder engine that will get about forty-five miles per gallon.
GM Vice Chairman Robert A. Lutz pointed out that in Europe the average transaction price per vehicle is almost $37,000. GM’s new U.S. lineup will look a lot like the European one in the coming years.
