Nissan To Soon Offer No-Frills Versa For Less Than $10,000

Nissan will soon offer the base version of the Versa sedan for less than $10,000, and it will be the cheapest new car available in the United States. The Versa will not include air-conditioning or power windows, and will cost $9,900 or more than $1,000 less than the country’s current least expensive car.

The new Versa model will be available beginning Nov. 18, according to an article in the Los Angeles Times. The new Versa will have a 1.6-liter engine instead of the current 1.8-liter, and will get 34 mpg on the highway, compared to 33 mpg currently.
