Ed Peper, Vice-president of Chevrolet said, “ we are in process of developing a new campaign for Chevrolet this fall and it could potentially have iuv new tag line.” The current ad campaign, “ An American Revolution” would be scrapped by this fall. Chevrolet Equinox and SUV will take up most of the marketing budget according to Ed Peper.
In the US alone, Chevrolet cars make up to 60% of the total sales supported by Saturn, Hummer and Saab.. According to Ed Peper, GM plans to terminate about 900 of its 3800 dealerships by October 2010. Marketing with few dealers would become more important to meet the goal.
