Nielsen today reported that an estimated 119,628,000 viewers saw Chevy’s “Wild Ride” ad featuring a silver Camaro during Fox’s Super Bowl 45 telecast, making it the “most watched commercial of all time.”

The spot surpasses the previous record of 116,231,920 set last year by a Doritos Super Bowl ad. Of the 14 most-viewed ads in the game, 13 appeared in the fourth quarter, with the exception of the NFL’s spot that aired during the third quarter.

Its no wonder why Chevrolet’s Wild Ride Commercial was number one during super bowl 45 this year. The commercial was well constructed, directed and had an original idea.
