Nissan unveiled the March Nismo Concept at the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon on Friday, hinting that the tuned version of the car may be headed for production.
“This is still under discussion, but if we get a good reaction at this show, we should consider it for production,” said Shinji Sasaki, Nissan chief designer in a statement.
Nissan has hinted it would produce the Juke Nismo, but has not yet confirmed its plans for that Nismo model.
Nissan has embarked on a new strategy for its high-performance Nismo arm, expanding its lineup of Nismo models, parts and accessories and moving to a new global headquarters here in 2013
The March Nismo Concept gets a lower stance, an aero kit, a high-performance suspension, larger wheels, a modified front grille and a rear lip spoiler. The concept gets the traditional Nismo colors of pearl white exterior paint with red highlights, similar to the Juke Nismo Concept that was unveiled at the 2011 Tokyo Auto Show.
